Thigh Amputation

Thigh amputation involves removal of the portion of the limb upto the thigh region. Mobility of the patient is facilitated by the assistance of technically advanced prostheses. The patient can undertake short to moderate distance walks after the rehabilitation process. In general, patient is advised to work in a sitting position. Chairs for the purpose are customized specially for the requisite purpose termed as arthodesis chairs. The prosthesis should be protected from weather.
