for painful bunions and deformity of the big toe
Innovative Orthotic Solutions
Hallufix® is a worldwide novelty against the common condition of hallux® valgus, a deformity of the big toe, and was designed in cooperation with the Fraunhofer Institute and orthopaedists to correct deformity of the big toe.

Hallufix® with a dual function

In principal, the foot is returned to its natural position by means of Hallufix® and maintained there. Hallufix® corrects the deformity of the big toe, steadies the transverse arch with a bandage and also supports the metatarsal bones with a pad. Hallufix® combines the corrective function of a night splint and the supporting function of an arch support for the metatarsal arch in a single product. At the same time - this is also new - the patented splint system can be worn in almost any shoe, even under stress, in contrast to rigid night splints that can only be used when the foot is resting.

Hallux® Valgus (bunion): a common condition

Hallux® valgus is a deformity of the big toe. Frequently, there is also swelling of the bunion on the inside of the foot. With more than 10 million people affected, Hallux® valgus is a common condition which frequently troubles many women even at a young age. At first, the deformity is viewed as merely a cosmetic problem, whereas the painful symptoms due to the developing arthritis frequently occur only in later years. Hallufix® helps. Hallufix® delays the development of this condition.

Recommnedation - use for prevention

Hallufix® should be used as a preventive measure in the case of mild to moderate bunions. This can delay worsening of the deformity of the big toe. The results to research performed by the orthopaedist Dr. Ralf Neumann, Munich, confirm that the Hallufix® orthosis is an effective device to improve incorrect foot stresses in cases of mild to moderate hallux® valgus deformity that has not yet become rigid. Following hallux® valgus surgery Hallufix® helps secure the results and shorten rehab time.
